Iron tsuba with an image of grass and the moon.
A version of depiction of Musashi plain (Musashino) - one of the famous places often found in Japanese painting (meisho-e (名所絵)) and literature.
Moon and grass is associated with Musashi plain in poetry:
    On the Musashi plain
    There is no mountain
    Behind which the moon disappears.
    It rises and sinks among the grass.
